Biloxi City Council approves town hall meeting to address homeless issue, Broadwater property
SUMMARY: The Biloxi City Council is holding a town hall meeting on homelessness, scheduled for April 15th at 6:00 PM, due to ongoing concerns from council members about the issue. Discussions have centered on the abandoned Broadwater property, where homeless individuals previously lived in tents. Although some cleanup work was initiated by property owners post-Hurricane Katrina, progress has stalled. Council members are advocating for code enforcement action to ensure the property is fully cleared. Additionally, five benches often used by the homeless will be removed as part of efforts to address the local homelessness problem. Venue details for the meeting are forthcoming.

A town hall meeting to address Biloxi’s homeless issue and the Broadwater property has been approved by Biloxi City Council.
