SUMMARY: A deadly shootout occurred in Houston’s 9700 block of Leawood Blvd after three men broke into an apartment. The tenant, who was home, called his father after the intruders tried to kick in the door. His father sent a friend, who arrived to find the tenant tied up and being choked. The friend freed him, and the tenant managed to grab a dropped gun, firing at the suspects. One suspect was shot and found dead in the parking lot, while the tenant, though injured, survived. Houston Police are still investigating and searching for the remaining two suspects.
