SUMMARY: Noxubee County, a perennial state prep football power, is making its first-ever trip to the “Southern Six” as the Tigers head to Bay St. Louis to play St. Stanislaus in the second round of the Class 3A South State playoffs. This game has been selected as the “Kneed to See” Game of the Week sponsored by Bienville Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Center/Encore Rehab. The two teams have only met twice before in the Class 4A state championship games in 2014 and 2015. Noxubee County has 15 state titles overall. St. Stanislaus is the top seed in region 8-3A. The sports medicine staff at Bienville Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Center and Encore Rehab have been providing athletic health care to prep athletes across South Mississippi for over two decades. Dr. Jeff Noblin, co-founder and co-medical director of the Sports Medicine Center, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He was an All-Southeastern Conference performer as a safety at the University of Mississippi and has worked with the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs. Dr. Noblin and Dr. Terrell were the innovators of a Saturday morning sports medicine clinic in Biloxi over 20 years ago, which still continues to this day.
