Biden visits areas in Georgia impacted by Helene

Kemp: 33 now dead from devastating Hurricane Helene | FOX 5 News
SUMMARY: Governor Brian Kemp held a briefing today acknowledging the extensive damage caused by Hurricane Helen in Georgia, where the death toll has risen to 33, including three from carbon monoxide poisoning. Biden pledges support for Georgia storm victims, challenges Congress | Georgia

Grady Hospital increases security measures after murder suspect escaped custody
SUMMARY: Grady Hospital is enhancing security following the escape of 32-year-old inmate Caran Reading, who was receiving treatment there. A $5,000 reward has been offered for information leading to his capture. In response, the hospital plans to increase security personnel and implement locked access to inpatient units. Additionally, a visitor management system and an emergency alert system will be put in place to bolster safety measures.
Carwon Redding, 32, escaped from custody of Atlanta City Detention Center on Sept. 27 while awaiting treatment at Grady Hospital.
