Belhaven’s head football coach sets all-time wins record
SUMMARY: The Belhaven football team is having a successful season, with their head coach, Blaine McCorkle, leading them to victory. With this win, McCorkle has become the all-time leader in wins at Belhaven, with a total of 25 wins since becoming the head coach in 2018. Blaine McCorkle is now the all-time winningest head coach in Belhaven football history. The Blazers shutout Greensboro on Saturday and the 34-0 win got Coach McCorkle his 25th as the Blazers head coach. McCorkle is the 7th head coach in program history since it started in 1998. After being named head coach in 2018 he’s turned the Blazers into a winning program. But he stresses there is still a lot more for his team to accomplish.

Salvation Army partners with local businesses to host Hurricane Victims Benefit Concert in Downto…
SUMMARY: Local businesses united to host a benefit concert for long-term recovery efforts following Hurricane Helen in the Carolinas. The collaborative event was presented by Spacey’s Rock and Roll Tattoo, the Aces, the Pretzel Company, and Downtown Meridian, and featured free entertainment from 5 to 9 PM. All donations will assist the Salvation Army in recovery efforts.
