Scottsville man arrested on drug trafficking charge

SUMMARY: A Scottsville man, Xzavier Smith, 22, was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on Monday. The Allen County-Scottsville Crime Task Force and Kentucky State Police stopped Smith’s 2013 Chevrolet around 12:30 p.m. After a K-9 alerted officers to drugs in the vehicle, a search revealed 10 ounces of methamphetamine. A subsequent search of Smith’s home uncovered drug trafficking items and a firearm. Smith was charged with first-degree trafficking in methamphetamine, persistent felony offender II, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. He is held at the Allen County Detention Center.

Kentucky wins federal court case against EPA | Kentucky

Kentucky’s plan, submitted in January 2019, indicated no further ozone reduction was necessary based on the EPA’s initial guidelines.
