Be boat and water aware this Memorial Day weekend
SUMMARY: Memorial Day weekend means many boats will be out on the Tennessee River, highlighting the importance of safety. State wildlife experts emphasize wearing life jackets as a crucial safety tip for both boating and swimming. Children 12 and younger are legally required to wear life jackets on boats. It's also essential to ensure that there is a US Coast Guard-approved life jacket for every person on board. Lieutenant Barry advises keeping these tips in mind for a fun and safe experience.
Memorial Day is Monday and that means plenty of boats will be on the water this weekend.
