Bayside Baptist Church pushing to keep doors open
SUMMARY: The Scottish Highland Games, which has been running for over 35 years, included a music festival that brought together members from the Bayside Baptist Church in Hancock County. The church, which closed months ago, has deeply affected its community, including long-time members like Vicki Westner. Despite the setback, the congregation is determined to revive the church. Noah Noble and others have expressed their fondness and commitment to the church, emphasizing the tight-knit community’s need to come together. With help from nearby churches and the Gulf Coast Baptist Association, they’re fighting to keep the church alive by hosting Bible study every Sunday evening until they can gather enough people to be self-sustaining and call their own pastor.
The congregation of Bayside Baptist Church is pushing to keep the worship center alive after the departure of its pastor in March 2023.
