BankPlus donates $420K to Children’s of Mississippi through check card program

SUMMARY: Mississippi-based BankPlus has donated $420,080 to Children’s of Mississippi through its check card program. The program allows customers to financially contribute to the medical facility by choosing a special debit card that contributes $12 annually to Friends of Children’s Hospital. BankPlus also matches each $12 donation up to $60,000 per year and donates $0.03 each time the debit card is used. There are currently over 14,000 active Children’s of Mississippi debit cards in circulation. The program, which began in 2011, has been successful in supporting the children’s hospital, and BankPlus continues to fulfill its commitment to the medical provider.
