Baldwin Co. utility crews head to hurricane damage in Florida, Georgia

SUMMARY: Scammers are targeting vulnerable individuals receiving SNAP , draining their accounts through fraudulent calls that appear to be from EBT customer service. Many victims, like Tamika Posey, unknowingly personal information after receiving automated calls their cards are locked. This year, over $30 million has been allocated to reimburse victims, with Alabama among the states most affected. The Department of Human Resources advises those scammed to to local offices and submit an affidavit, but details on reimbursement timelines remain unclear, leaving families anxious about their ability to provide food.
