SUMMARY: Lawyers for Jackson, Mississippi officials involved in a federal bribery investigation are requesting a delay in their upcoming trial, citing insufficient time to review extensive evidence. Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba, Councilman Aaron Banks, and District Attorney Jody Owens face federal charges, including bribery and conspiracy, related to a real estate development scheme. They are accused of accepting bribes from FBI informants posing as developers.
