Attorney demands video after Canton student was allegedly assaulted

Francois, an 8th grader, claimed that school resource officer Jahyea Parker cursed at, choked, and dragged her down a hallway on April 4th after she attempted to use the restroom with teacher’s permission. Attorney Carlos Moore criticized the City of Canton and Canton Public School District for not protecting Francois and emphasized the need for transparency. The officer has been terminated, and legal action is being pursued for violating Francois’s constitutional rights.
