SUMMARY: For the fourth year in a row, Melissa Nichols and her family are honoring her son, Gordon, who tragically died in a car crash on Thanksgiving five years ago, by giving back to the community. Instead of a traditional holiday meal, they now participate in “Gordon’s Giving,” providing free Thanksgiving feasts to First Responders and others who may be spending the holiday alone. The family has delivered over 200 meals in the past and aims to continue spreading love and gratitude. They say the tradition helps keep Gordon’s spirit alive while turning their pain into a force for good.

For the Nichols family, the holiday season has looked a little different the past few years after losing a loved one on Thanksgiving night five years ago.
