SUMMARY: This weekend, meteorologists are monitoring potential tropical system in the Atlantic, affected by Saharan dust limiting uplift. Although a tropical wave is present, its development is slow, and current models diverge on its potential strength and path. The American GFS model suggests it will remain weaker and likely track towards the Gulf of Mexico, while European and Canadian models indicate it could strengthen, tracking closer to the coastline. While there’s no forecast of a hurricane affecting the area, heavy rain could occur if the system develops. Final predictions depend on forthcoming data.

The National Hurricane Center continues to monitor a system in the Atlantic that now has a 60% for development.
