Arrests made in connection to Gulfport shooting

SUMMARY: 17-year-old Cornelius Demetric Lampley Jr. has been arrested and charged with armed robbery and aggravated assault after a shooting incident in Gulfport. Officers attended the scene after reports of a shooting and found a victim with a gunshot wound. The victim stated that Lampley and another person, Marcus Peterson, tried to rob him while he was selling a firearm. Both suspects fired their guns, striking the victim, before fleeing. Peterson has also been taken into custody. Lampley was held on a $450,000 bond. Anyone with more information is urged to contact local authorities or Crime Stoppers.
