Armyworms move in to wreak havoc on yards

Jeff Hays from Lowndes Farm Supply attributes this increase to favorable weather conditions, like significant rainfall and fertilizer use, creating lush grass ideal for feeding. To combat the infestation, Hays advises farmers to monitor their fields for signs of armyworms, including bird activity and yellow patches in the grass. The armyworm life span is typically between 10 to 21 days, emphasizing the need for proactive measures.
