Arlington ISD showcases its future chefs with 'Taste of Arlington ISD'

SUMMARY: Arlington ISD is hosting its inaugural “Taste of Arlington ISD” event at Sig High School, highlighting the culinary talents of future chefs from various high schools. Students participated in a “by students for students” program, crafting diverse dishes that may be featured on the district’s menu. Attendees can sample 12 creations, including Cajun chicken Alfredo and Philly cheesesteaks. The program not only enhances culinary skills but also fosters teamwork and creativity among students. Around 800 parents and staff are enjoying the flavors, showcasing the students’ hard work and innovation in school lunches.

Trump declares invasion at southwest border, suspends entry | National

Austin weather: Road conditions near Bastrop | FOX 7 Austin

SUMMARY: Rudy KY reports on hazardous road conditions along Highway 71 East toward Bastrop and Smithville. The roads are icy and slick, especially in Bastrop County, with snow flurries and sleet. A rollover crash occurred at Cedar Creek, but the occupants were unharmed. Drivers are urged to avoid traveling if possible and, if they must, to drive cautiously with extra distance between vehicles due to increased stopping distances. The roads may appear clear but can quickly turn dangerous. Additionally, airport conditions on Highway 71 are poor, and travelers should check flight statuses and leave early.
