Arlington 15-year-old receives lifesaving award for saving neighbors from house fire
SUMMARY: The Arlington Fire Department honored 15-year-old Kaden Person for his heroic actions in alerting neighbors about a fire. While letting his dogs outside, Kaden noticed smoke in a neighbor’s yard and immediately told his mother to call 911. He ran barefoot to the neighbor’s house, warning them of the danger. Thanks to his quick thinking, the family evacuated safely before the fire, which started in the attic, escalated. Kaden was awarded a life-saving award, and his mother expressed pride in his selfless act. The fire department emphasized that without Kaden’s intervention, the outcome could have been tragic.
The fire department says without Cayden Person banging on the neighbor’s door, the outcome could’ve been deadly.
