Arkansas man sentenced for planning mass shooting at Natchez High School

SUMMARY: Kenneth Allen Moody, a 33-year-old Arkansas man, was to 18 months in federal prison for planning a mass shooting at Natchez High School. In July 2022, he called the Vidalia Department, he intended to carry out the shooting and wanted to surrender beforehand. Moody stated he had been planning the attack for months and had already loaded weapons ready. The call was traced back to his device in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where he lived at the time. The FBI and Vidalia Police investigated, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Tennille M. Gilreath prosecuted the case.
