SUMMARY: In 1980, Sel’s coworkers alerted police after she was absent from work, leading to the discovery of her dead body in her condo. After decades of unsolved cases, advancements in technology in 2022 allowed forensic genealogist Misty Gillis to analyze DNA and identify 11 potential suspects. Among them were brothers Kurt and Kenneth Kundert of Arkansas. Investigations revealed Kenneth had worked in Washington during the 1980s. Detectives subsequently obtained a discarded cigarette from Kenneth, which was analyzed and confirmed by the Washington State Patrol crime lab to match the DNA profile of the original investigation, bringing new progress to the case.

SUMMARY: The Arkansas Senate failed to pass the prison appropriation bill aimed at constructing a 3,000-bed prison in Franklin County. While it received a favorable vote of 19 to 10, it needed a two-thirds majority due to its emergency clause. The funding request increased from $470 million to $750 million, with supporters arguing it would address prison overcrowding and crime reduction. However, opponents criticized the lack of detailed information on the project and logistical considerations for the construction site. Lawmakers emphasized the need for an accountable plan for monitoring the project’s progress.

www.youtube.com – THV11 – 2025-03-31 17:17:23

SUMMARY: President Trump has declared April 2nd as “Liberation Day,” during which he will announce new tariffs on imports from countries that tax American-made products. This initiative aims to support U.S. manufacturers; however, economists warn that American consumers may face increased prices. A 25% tax on imported vehicles and auto parts will begin Thursday, encouraging American car production. Trump officials predict the tariffs will generate over $6 trillion over the next decade, asserting that only companies will be affected. Despite a CBS News poll indicating that 72% of respondents expect price hikes, Trump remains unconcerned about potential consumer costs, emphasizing support for domestic manufacturing.
