Area fire stations do annual pump testing
SUMMARY: Fire stations in the Golden Triangle area of Mississippi are conducting annual pump tests on their trucks to ensure they meet state regulations. The tests involve checking the pumps to ensure they are working properly and can deliver the required water flow. State inspectors are responsible for ensuring the trucks meet the standards and have the necessary documentation. Inspections can help identify any issues with the trucks before they become a problem. If a truck does not pass the test, departments must use a backup truck until the issues are resolved. Each pump test can take up to an hour.
