APD searching for shooter in deadly NE Austin shooting | FOX 7 Austin

SUMMARY: In Northeast Austin, multiple first responders and crime scene tape were seen at a business complex on 290 and Kadad Drive following numerous 911 calls reporting gunshots. Police arrived just before 6 PM, finding a person with serious injuries, who was pronounced dead at the hospital at 6:26 PM. The victim’s identity remains undisclosed as authorities search for the shooter. The Austin Police Department’s homicide unit is leading the investigation. Notably, while 13 crimes, including one homicide, were reported in the area this year, overall crime has decreased by 40% compared to the same timeframe last year.

Austin police are still looking for the person responsible for the deadly shooting in Northeast Austin on Thursday night.

WATCH: Bexar County Sheriff Salazar discusses recent San Antonio human smuggling cases
