SUMMARY: Fifteen-year-old Natalie Griffith is recovering after being injured in a shooting at Appalache High School, where accused gunman Colt Gray killed four and injured nine. Despite suffering gunshot wounds to her arm, wrist, and chest, Natalie is eager to return to school and marching band. She mistakenly thought the gunfire was a locker bang before realizing the reality of the situation. Tragically, she knew two of the victims personally. Natalie and her family recently met with Vice President Kamala Harris to advocate for change. Community support has been vital for the Griffith family amid ongoing GoFundMe campaigns for the victims.

Natalie Griffith, who was one of the students who was shot at Apalachee High School during a mass shooting, says that she is ready to go back to class and go back to a normal life.

The demonstration began around noon along Buford Highway, where protesters blocked roads to express their fear and solidarity amidst a recent wave of deportations, intensified by the Trump administration’s policies. Organizer Joseph Pastor highlighted that many participants were young individuals supporting their families. The protesters aim to unite against attacks on immigrants, emphasizing that such actions affect the entire working class. SUMMARY: A project to build two reactors at VC Summer Nuclear Station in South Carolina, abandoned in 2017 after costing $8 billion, may soon resume. Santee Cooper has proposed selling the site to a private company to complete the project, which could add 2,200 megawatts of clean energy. Senator Tom Davis supports the initiative, suggesting it would ease customer costs. However, Senator Russell Ott expressed concerns about potential risks. Governor Henry McMaster emphasized the project’s importance for South Carolina’s energy needs and its potential to inspire nationwide nuclear construction.
