KSP makes plea to suspected I-75 gunman as search enters second week: 'Turn yourself in'
SUMMARY: Authorities are in week two of the search for mass shooting suspect Joseph Couch in Laurel County, Kentucky, expanding their perimeter after earlier searches. Police are urging Couch to turn himself in, emphasizing the negative impact of his actions on the community, especially children. Trooper Scotty Pennington reported that vigilantes initially interfered with the investigation, but tracking dogs have since picked up Couch’s scent in the Daniel Boone National Forest. Despite over 28,000 acres searched and numerous tips, local residents express doubt about Couch’s apprehension due to the area’s vast and challenging terrain. Couch has been listed in the National Crime Information Center.
As the search for the I-75 gunman entered its second week, Trooper Scottie Pennington pleaded for the suspect to turn himself in.
