Another setback on I-10 ramp project leaves Diamondhead residents concerned
SUMMARY: Diamond Head residents are increasingly frustrated with the delayed I-10 ramp construction, initially expected to last six weeks but now projected to take an additional 2-3 weeks. Local drivers report significant detours, adding extra travel time, while business owners are experiencing a drastic drop in customers, with some reporting a decline of 40-50%. New business owner Mystery expresses concerns about their survival amid the construction disruptions. Additionally, residents worry about safety issues caused by altered traffic patterns, particularly at Kel Road for accessing the interstate. Overall, the community is anxiously anticipating a resolution to these ongoing challenges.

In June, the people of Diamondhead were told the construction project on the Interstate 10 ramp would take about six weeks.
