The city has been testing their sirens frequently in preparation for tornado season, but a siren in West Amry is faulty and out of commission. This has left residents feeling uneasy, especially with recent tornado watches and the trauma from the previous tornado. The mayor of Amry says the siren can be fixed for $27,000, but in the meantime, there are backup plans in place, including renting alternative sirens and positioning fire units to serve as backup.
