Amory to play home football games at Tupelo due to tornado damage

SUMMARY: After a tornado destroyed Amory High School’s athletic facilities in March, rival Tupelo High School has offered their stadium for the Panthers’ 2023 home football games. This decision was made to support the school during this difficult time, as high school football is central to Mississippi’s culture. Amory has not yet begun constructing new facilities, but the baseball team managed to win a state title despite playing all games on the road. All football games at Tupelo will be free of charge for Amory fans.

Human remains found in Carroll County confirmed to be those of missing Ole Miss student Jimmie ‘Jay’ Lee
