Amory Humane Society desperately trying to reach monetary goal by end of year
SUMMARY: Over a year after a devastating tornado struck Monroe County, the Amory Humane Society urgently needs support to restore its animal shelter, which was severely damaged. The executive director announced a goal to raise $500,000 by year-end to cover annual expenses exceeding $300,000, primarily for caring for around 700 animals. Despite securing a longstanding municipal contract of $55,000, the shelter didn’t receive an increase in funding from the city. With rising operational costs and an influx of animals, the organization is appealing for both monetary donations and monthly support. More information on how to help is available at wtva.com.
