SUMMARY: Welcome back to the Alcorn State Braves, who find themselves in familiar territory, competing for SWAC championships. In just their second season in the West Division, the Braves have a chance to win their first West Title this weekend when they play Texas Southern. With a dominant performance in their last game, they are currently the front runners in the division, but they’ll need to defeat Texas Southern on their home turf to secure their spot in the SWAC Championship game. After their big win, the Braves are feeling confident and believe they can accomplish one of their many goals this season. The coaching staff believes in their ability to keep the team together and stay focused.

Alcorn State just needs to win this weekend to book their ticket to the SWAC Championship game against FAMU and clinch the SWAC West Division Title. But they will need to defeat Texas Southern on the road in their next game and the Braves feel that they are ready to return to the SWAC title game.
