Alcoa City Schools preparing students for careers with culinary program

Suspect charged with attempted assassination

Tyre Nichols Trial Day 12
SUMMARY: During day 12 of the federal trial against three former Memphis police officers, Desmond Mills Jr. testified, sharing his emotional account of Tyrie Nichols’ death. Mills, one of five officers charged but who pleaded guilty last year, narrated the events of that night, including viewing his own body camera footage. He became visibly emotional when recalling the moment he used his baton on Nichols, crying as he apologized to Nichols’ family, acknowledging the profound impact of his actions on Nichols’ child. Afternoon Weather (9/24): Partly cloudy with spotty showers and storms
