EXCLUSIVE: Prichard mother relieved after day care worker accused of abusing son is arrested
SUMMARY: Charlina Glenn’s persistence led to the arrest of daycare worker Kia Baldwin after Glenn’s 8-month-old son, Jamari, was found with bruises, allegedly from abuse at The Lighthouse Academy in Pritchard. Baldwin initially claimed Jamari choked on a rock, but his injuries were consistent with abuse. Despite initial inaction from authorities, Glenn reached out to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office, which reviewed surveillance footage showing Baldwin violently slamming Jamari into a crib. Baldwin was arrested on March 13, charged with child abuse, and fired from the daycare. Her court date is set for March 27.

Missing 11-year-old Girl | March 13, 2025 | News 19 at 10 p.m.
SUMMARY: An 11-year-old girl, Madison Steele, known as Maddy, has been missing for almost 24 hours in Jackson County. Maddy, approximately 5’2″ and 130 pounds, was last seen at home in Stevenson on Wednesday night. Family members state that her behavior is unusual, as they believe she may have run away. The situation has escalated to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, and the family is anxious for her safe return, especially with severe weather predicted.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is searching for an 11-year-old who was last seen in Stevenson.
