AL organization, 24th Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s office hosting annual board game drive

SUMMARY: The Helping Families Initiative and the 24th Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office in Alabama are organizing their second annual board game drive. Their aim is to collect 600 games, which would be enough to provide one to every first-grade student in Pickens, Fayette, and Lamar counties. Megan Acker, the project creator in 2022, emphasizes that board games are not just for play but also help families bond, learn, and create memories. Last year, they distributed 212 games to each Pickens County Elementary School. Donors can contribute games at the District Attorney’s office locations in Carrollton, Fayette, and Vernon.
