Source of mysterious Ocean Springs Advance Auto Parts water leak identified
SUMMARY: In Ocean Springs, the mysterious water leak at Advanced Auto Parts has been explained. Initially thought to be caused by a ruptured natural spring, the city revealed it was actually due to an old water line from the building’s original design that was never capped. This line was separate from the current one, which is why water continued flowing even when the city shut it off. The store is not being demolished; rather, it will be gutted and have its floor redone. Meanwhile, Advanced Auto Parts plans to close over 700 stores, but it’s unclear if this location will be affected.
Many speculated that the mysterious water leak was from a ruptured natural spring, but the city now confirms it wasn’t.

Broadwater owners cut paths on property for Biloxi police
SUMMARY: The city is addressing homelessness on the old Broadwater property, where camps have emerged. Property owners have delayed clearing the land but have installed no trespassing signs and created paths for police ATVs to monitor the area. On Monday, officers will collaborate with homeless resource groups like Open Doors Homeless Coalition and Back Bay Mission to catalog individuals living there and provide assistance. This outreach aims to support those experiencing homelessness in transitioning off the streets. The city and these organizations continue tracking the homeless population for effective intervention.
