These issues often go unnoticed as individuals fight their battles in silence. However, organizers of these walks aim to educate people about available resources and the support that is available. Some participants even joined the Purple Heal Walk hosted by Butterflies by Grace Defined by Faith. Dr. Chelsea and Cassi Aldridge, advocates for mental health, hope to raise awareness about mental illness and break the negative stereotypes associated with it. Cordelia Funchess, participating in the Purple Heal Walk, emphasizes the prevalence of domestic violence and the importance of support for survivors. October is recognized as Domestic Violence and Mental Health Awareness Month.
