ADP, William Carey team up to help students
SUMMARY: The Hattiesburg Area Development Partnership’s “Mission Possible” event, hosted by William Carey University, aims to prepare 11th graders for future careers by teaching essential soft skills. Over a decade ago, a needs assessment revealed a gap in students’ understanding of career options and workplace dynamics. The program covers topics like resume writing, job interviews, and college options, helping students understand potential career paths. Speakers emphasize the importance of these skills, particularly for those without guidance at home. The event also highlights non-college opportunities, recognizing that not all students will pursue higher education but still need tools for workforce success.
