SUMMARY: A car struck a liquid natural gas pipeline in Deer Park, causing a fire that’s still burning 36 hours later, albeit smaller. A transportation company’s van captured video of the incident, showing a vehicle speeding through a fence and hitting the pipeline’s valve at approximately 65-70 mph. Witnesses, including the van’s driver, heard a blast and attempted to escape but found the heat too intense. The van, damaged by the fire, is covered in soot and melted plastic. Authorities have not disclosed details about the driver of the white SUV involved, and the area remains evacuated and secure as the investigation continues.
