Aberdeen police make 2 more arrests in murder investigation
SUMMARY: Aberdeen police have made two more arrests in the shooting death of Leviathan Troope. 29-year-old Antonio Sacus and 16-year-old Myles Ewing have been arrested and charged with murder. Troope was shot in the head while outside of a car holding a light on the night of December 5. 18-year-old Theodis Reese was previously arrested and charged as an accessory to murder, and it was reported that he was at the scene at the time of the shooting. Bartahatchie Bridge is under replacement

Texas woman sentenced for hiring Memphis couple to murder Mississippi woman
SUMMARY: Ashley Grayson, a 35-year-old woman from Dallas, was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for her involvement in a murder-for-hire plot targeting a Southaven, Mississippi woman over an online feud. Grayson believed the woman was criticizing her internet-based business and sought to hire a couple from Memphis to commit the murder, offering $20,000 for each killing. The plot was exposed when the couple recorded a conversation detailing the plan. Grayson was convicted in March 2024, while her husband was acquitted. The judge emphasized the emotional toll on the victim and her family due to Grayson’s actions.

Three injured in crash on Clinton Boulevard
SUMMARY: Jackson police are investigating a crash on Clinton Boulevard that injured at least three people. The incident occurred around 7:00 p.m. on November 18, involving a Chevrolet Camaro and a Chevrolet Tahoe. Detective Tommie Brown reported that the Camaro crossed into oncoming traffic, leading to the collision. The driver and passenger of the Camaro were hospitalized, with one suffering life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Tahoe was also taken to the hospital for treatment. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
