‘A joyful little boy’: Mother of boy who drowned in Reservoir speaks out

SUMMARY: A mother is devastated after her six-year-old son, Logan Love, tragically drowned at Lake Shore Park in Rankin County. Last Saturday, officers responded to a call about a missing child at the park. Upon arrival, they searched the Ross Barnett Reservoir and found Logan in the water. He was transported to River Oaks Hospital but later died. Logan's mother, Trean Ford, recounted that he was playing near the water and repeatedly getting in and out. Finally, Logan ran back towards the water and disappeared. Ford, who is now seeing a therapist, faces the heart-wrenching task of burying her only child next week.
