A Jackson native trains Olympian going for gold

Murrah High School product Jordan Bush has a strong connection to the Olympics in Paris. He is the strength coach of 100 meter hurdler Alaysha Johnson. Jordan has been training Alaysha for three years now and initially it was a challenge for the Jackson native. Jordan is a highly regarded strength coach for some of the top NFL players and other high profile athletes. But Alaysha was the first track athlete he’s worked with. The Southern Miss alum challenged himself and now his coaching and Alaysha’s hard work could result in a medal in Paris. Alaysha’s 100 meter hurdle events begins Wednesday August 7th.

Monroe County man and volunteers to provide winter weather help when necessary
