A cool fall-like weekend ahead
SUMMARY: Severe thunderstorms are approaching the Louisville area, expected to bring rain, lightning, and possible delays for Friday night football games. Currently, showers and storms are moving in from Madison and Harrison County, Indiana, with heavy rain forecasted for downtown Louisville soon. A cold front is responsible for these conditions, which will clear up by midnight. The weekend will transition to dry, cooler weather, with Saturday’s high reaching only 74 degrees and morning lows in the 40s. After this brief cool-down, temperatures will rise again, approaching the 90s next week, indicating summer isn’t quite over yet.
WLKY Meteorologist Daniel Johnson has the latest weekend forecast.
