This farm life constitutes a third career for Ben Simmons, who has already lived abroad as a manufacturer and spent years in the National Guard. The farm is a legacy from Ben’s father. It has been Ben’s mission to create an environment of careful animal husbandry and sustainable agriculture, devoid of harmful chemicals. In 2009 the farm came under his care. In 2010, he got started with cattle. After that, bit by bit, the couple added chickens, and then pork, and then laying hens.
