Oldest living former Chiefs player takes a trip down memory lane
SUMMARY: Jerry Cornelison, 88, the oldest living former Chiefs player, reminisces about the team’s early days. He joined the Dallas Texans in 1960, winning an AFL championship before the franchise moved to Kansas City. After taking a year off, he returned in 1964. Cornelison reflects on the lack of facilities in the early days and the modest pay, recognizing their role in laying the foundation for modern professional football. Now an ambassador for the Chiefs, he participates in community outreach and charity work, raising funds for local causes.
