Shamsud-Din Jabbar, who killed 14 people and injured 30 by ramming a pickup truck into New Year’s revelers in New Orleans, had bomb-making materials at his Houston home and planned the attack for over six weeks. The FBI found hazardous materials and bomb-making equipment, as well as clues suggesting Jabbar’s attack was premeditated. Jabbar, a former Army soldier with links to ISIS, died in a shootout with police after firing at officers. Investigators also discovered crude bombs planted in the area. The incident is the deadliest IS-inspired attack in the U.S. in years, prompting heightened security in New Orleans.

2 found dead in compartment of JetBlue plane at Florida airport
