www.youtube.com – KSAT 12 – 2025-01-03 19:10:37

SUMMARY:

Light freezing temperatures are expected in San Antonio next week, but not as severe as the 2021 freeze. This will be the longest cold period this winter. Prepare by checking your furnace, ensuring no gas leaks, and replacing the air filter to avoid safety shutdowns. Install a carbon monoxide detector and consult a pro if needed. Use space heaters safely and unplug them when not in use. Insulate windows with weather stripping or film to reduce heat loss. While a hard freeze is unlikely, wrap pipes, cover outdoor spigots, and keep pets and potted plants inside to stay safe.

A few days are left to prepare before San Antonio sees its first extended cold winter temperatures.
