wgno.com – Jeff Kent – 2024-12-24 11:30:00

SUMMARY: In April 1948, young puppeteers Harry Ory and Ray Fredericks drew attention with their work, leading to a collaboration with Edwin Harmon “Oscar” Isentrout to create a Christmas show at the Maison Blanche store. They highlight various places, like stores and restaurants, that have closed down, with a recurring theme of change and loss in the city. The song touches on iconic locations such as K&B, McCrory’s, and others, expressing how much has disappeared over time.
