SUMMARY: Former Cedar Hill police officer Donald Mercer turned himself in on a misdemeanor charge after allegedly soliciting sex from a woman he arrested for DWI in August. Mercer, who resigned shortly after the complaint, was under investigation for another matter. The woman, arrested after failing sobriety tests, claimed Mercer kissed her, asked for oral sex, and later texted her. Video footage reportedly supports her allegations. Mercer’s attorney asks for caution, stating they are conducting their own investigation. Mercer resigned to avoid termination proceedings, and the case is ongoing.

The now-former officer was already under investigation for a separate incident when the city received the complaint that he allegedly used his position to sexually harass a woman during a DWI arrest.

SUMMARY: Christina Salazar, recently deported to Mexico with her four children, including newborn twins, shares her harrowing experience. Deported during a meeting with immigration authorities, Christina claims she was caught off guard and unprepared, lacking essentials for her babies. She missed her immigration court hearing due to complications from an emergency C-section. Christina’s husband, a U.S. citizen, was denied the chance to say goodbye or help her, as agents took her phone and expedited her removal. Concerned for her children’s health, her family is now seeking legal assistance and urging lawmakers for a resolution to reunite them soon.
