SUMMARY: Georgia’s certified electors will meet tomorrow to cast their official ballots for President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance. The controversy over Georgia’s 2020 election remains significant, recalling efforts by Trump to overturn Biden’s victory. In December 2020, a group of Republicans secretly gathered at the state capitol as fake electors to support Trump. These individuals signed documents claiming to be duly qualified electors, despite the election outcome. In 2023, Trump and 18 others were indicted for attempting to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election. Independent journalist George Chidi, who exposed the secret meeting, will be monitoring for any unusual activity.

Georgia’s certified electors will gather at the state capitol Tuesday to cast their official ballots for President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect J.D. Vance. The controversy surrounding Georgia’s 2020 presidential election is sure to be on the minds of many who recall the drama that played out under the gold dome four years ago.
