Fog could be an issue the next few mornings
SUMMARY: The weather forecast highlights fog as the main concern for the next few days, particularly with mild temperatures in the 60s and the possibility of isolated light showers. Fog is expected to worsen, especially on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings, with reduced visibility in areas like Slidell. Winds may help prevent severe fog, but drivers should allow extra time in the mornings. A weak front will bring cooler air by Wednesday night, with another front expected next weekend. For Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, temperatures will remain mild in the 60s, with a chance of showers or storms each day.
Meteorologist Devon Lucie tracks fog that was already forming Sunday night, and identifies when and where fog is going to be the worst over the next couple of mornings, then shows you how warm you’ll get after the morning fog and clouds clear, when and where a shower or storm is likeliest, then tracks a cold front Wednesday night showing you how much cooler we get to round out the week and how much colder next weekend will be while finishing with your entire seven day forecast.

Louisiana health department outlines new physician reimbursement rates | Louisiana
SUMMARY: The Louisiana Senate Committee on Health and Welfare will review a plan by the Department of Health to improve Medicaid reimbursement rates. Key changes include aligning Medicaid rates with Medicare, with an increase to 85% in the first year and full parity by the second year. This aims to address healthcare access challenges faced by Medicaid recipients. The plan, costing $258 million in the first year, will not rely on state general funds. Medical professionals support the proposal, noting it could enhance pediatric care access and improve health outcomes. Pilot projects will test methods to reduce emergency department visits through better care coordination.
