NWCC women’s soccer program makes history
SUMMARY: The Northwest Women’s Soccer Team made history by winning the NJCAA Division 2 National Championship on November 23rd, finishing the season undefeated at 22-0. This title was the culmination of years of hard work, including two consecutive Region 23 championships and three straight National Tournament appearances. After being eliminated by Johnson County Community College in 2023, they avenged the loss by defeating them 2-0 in the national final. Coach Beattie, who led the team for five years, was named Region 23 Coach of the Year and became the program’s all-time winningest coach. Three players earned NJCAA All-American honors.
The NWCC women’s soccer program won a national title for the first time in program history.

William ‘Polo’ Edwards found guilty of first-degree murder

Veteran lawyer testifies in William 'Polo' Edwards trial
