YSL RICO trial verdict: What happens next? | FOX 5 News
SUMMARY: The historic YSL RICO trial has concluded, with a guilty verdict against one defendant and acquittals for others. After 15 hours of deliberation, the jury found Deamonte Kendrick (Yak Gotti) not guilty of racketeering, murder, and gang charges. Shannon Stillwell was found guilty only on a firearms charge. This marks a significant defeat for DA Fani Willis, who struggled to prove the charges, including using song lyrics in the case. While nine defendants took plea deals, charges remain pending for 12 others. The trial, Georgia’s longest, began in 2023 and lasted over a year, raising questions about its cost and value.
It might be the end for the state’s longest-running court case, but the YSL RICO investigation is not yet over. Here’s what happens now after Tuesday’s verdict.

SUMMARY: Fires around Los Angeles have devastated homes, including those of celebrities like Billy Crystal, Jeff Bridges, and Jhené Aiko. Many have shared their heartbreak over lost properties and cherished memories. As the fires led to the postponement of several awards ceremonies and the delay of Oscar nominations, over 180,000 residents are under evacuation orders. Jamie Lee Curtis responded by pledging $1 million for fire relief, echoed by the Recording Academy for affected musicians. Historic sites, including the ranch of Will Rogers, have been destroyed, intensifying concerns over both personal and cultural losses during this crisis.
